Two Hearing Aids or One?

The need for one hearing aid or two is determined by your hearing loss. For most people with hearing loss, binaural amplification offers:

  • Substantial improvement under both quiet and noisy conditions.
  • A better sense of direction for locating the sound source.
  • Allows a more balanced sense of hearing and better overall sound quality, since one is surrounded by sound.
  • One is more relaxed with two instruments because binaural amplification eliminates the need to strain to hear a sound.
  • If you wish to decide for yourself whether two ears are better than one, begin by trying two hearing aids. After all, being able to hear and understand family and friends helps you enjoy being together more…and more often!
