About Us Mrs. Dibkey holds a volunteer faculty position in the department of otolaryngology at the UT-Houston Medical School at Houston. Her clinical area of interest is advanced hearing aid technology for adults and children. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She obtained a Master of Arts in Audiology (rated #1 Best Audiology Graduate Program by U.S. News) from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Honors for Mrs. Dibkey include the NSSHLA Outstanding Chapter Member of the Year Award in April 1998 and the Omicron Delta Kappa Exemplary Leadership and Service Award in May 1998. She also completed a Rotary International and Truman State University funded research and service project entitled, Success of Hearing Aid Use of School Age Children in Belize. Mrs. Dibkey is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), a member of the Association of Houston Audiologists (AHA) and a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology (TAA). She has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) and is licensed to practice Audiology and to dispense hearing aids by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology. Mrs. Dibkey has conducted numerous hearing screenings and hearing conservation presentations for both adults and children and is a member of the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA).
